1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My grandmother once said to me “I don’t understand all these people out there trying to find themselves. Life always changes. Look upward. That’s where and who you are right now.” It has always resonated with me. Whenever I’ve wondered where my life will go -- what I should do, I try to find peace. I trust God will guide me there and if I have patience, I will find my way there eventually.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I’m excited by nature and art or a combination of both at the same time. I love to spend time in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota hiking in nature, absorbing the sounds, sights, smells, tastes and more. It’s spiritual and inspiring. When there I ink in my sketchbook, write poetry, and take photos to record my experiences creatively.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
That’s simple! I teach a design course at South Dakota State University. If I could teach anything It would be design, art, photography – something creative. Creativity already lives within individuals. The role as an instructor of any creative medium is to help individuals channel it, bring it out, enhance their process, and find their style.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
If I didn’t know how old I am I would guess that I am 45 – still young but very much comfortable with who I am and what I have accomplished.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My idea of a fun date night is to go out to eat somewhere where I can get dressed up, have great conversation, and try new things. I like to sample new foods that I’ve never tried before. I’m an adventurous eater!
