1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
“Be the change” to me means “the change” starts WITH me. As a Leader, it is my job to create an environment that cultivates and encourages change; paving the way for others to “be the change”. By acknowledging that each person has something unique, special, and important to offer the world, we can raise up a generation that not only talks about change, but BECOMES the CHANGE!
2.How would you describe your husband?
Brad seeks after God with his whole heart and leads our family with wisdom and strength. My husband is a promise to me that I will have a best friend forever. He is my biggest comfort, my strongest motivation, my truest smile, and my deepest love. God brought us together because he knew, that through Him, we would be a strong, united couple; always willing to fulfill His will for our lives.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
I remember his smell; mint and tobacco with a hint of fresh dirt. Hearing the gravel crunch as his truck pulled into the driveway. The sound of his voice as he called me “sis”. The strength in his hands as I placed my little hand in his; looking up and seeing the love in his eyes for me. With my Dad in heaven now, these are the greatest memories of my childhood.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
She was a friend to everyone. She had a personality that could make anyone feel included in any situation. She loved to talk and was always asking questions in class. Although her fashion sense could have used a little help, she gave it her best shot. You could find her consistently giving to others and putting their needs above her own. This still rings true to who she is today.
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
My husband’s favorite place is the beach and part of his dream is to someday live in our favorite beach town. Brad has sacrificed and given everything to see our family succeed. There isn’t one thing he wouldn’t do for his family. I would love to be able to purchase for him the beach house he has always wanted and an old blue chair to sit and relax in while we watch the waves.
